Seamer Diego du Plessis has left Victoria Cricket Club for United Cricket Club ahead of the 2020-21 Western Province Cricket Association club season.
United Cricket Club compete in the WPCA first division A, while Victoria Cricket Club are a tier higher in the premier league.
Last month, United Cricket Club named former Cape Cobras all-rounder Shaheen Khan player-coach.
They also welcomed the return of seamer Josh Fransman from Milnerton Cricket Club. All-rounder Saliegh Jaffar, too, has been recruited from Strandfontein Cricket Club. They have lost former franchise batsman Qaasim Adams to Primrose Cricket Club, though.
“Diego joins a formidable seam-bowling team, which includes Francois Plaatjies, Josh Fransman, Saliegh Jaffar and Shaheen Khan,” read a statement from United Cricket Club.
Du Plessis has been capped twice at first-class level by Western Province.
