Batsman Dillon Smit has joined Claremont Cricket Club ahead of the 2025-26 Western Province Cricket Association premier league.
Smit previously played for Milnerton Cricket Club, who have been relegated to the WPCA first division A.
Claremont Cricket Club have also signed batsman Rowen Taplin and all-rounder Keegan Fortune from Milnerton Cricket Club.
Claremont Cricket Club won the 2022-23 WPCA premier league title – and ended the 2023-24 and 2024-25 WPCA premier league in fifth and eighth position, respectively.
They have appointed new head coach Eugene Moleon. Wicketkeeper-batsman Michael Appollis, meanwhile, has left Claremont Cricket Club for Rondebosch Cricket Club.
