The Western Province Cricket Association have released the final draft of fixtures for the 2022-23 club season.

What the WPCA said on 17 October 2022

“We fully understand that the delay of the POs by the CoCT has placed scheduling fixtures under pressure, but we request our clubs to peruse and advise the office of any immediate changes that need to be done, especially for this weekend,” said the WPCA.

“Kindly peruse all other fixtures and provide feedback by COB on Thursday, 20 October 2022. After the changes to these fixtures, clubs would need make use of the match reschedule form process.

“Should there be any minor Ama20 fixtures changes, these will be communicated in the next 24 hours.”

Selected opening fixtures in final draft

In the WPCA premier league, reigning champions Durbanville Cricket Club host the University of the Western Cape Cricket Club on 22 October. Bellville Cricket Club, who ultimately were not relegated to the first division A, host Rylands Cricket Club on the same date.

In the first division A, newly-promoted Avendale Cricket Club host Vikings Cricket Club, which formed after Elsies River Cricket Club and Glamorgan Cricket Club amalgamated. Victoria Cricket Club, who were relegated from the premier league, host the University of Cape Town Cricket Club.

In the third division A, Rylands Cricket Club host Cravenby Cricket Club – and Wynberg Cricket Club travel to Bergvliet Cricket Club – on 22 October.

In the third division B, Milnerton Cricket Club travel to Belhar Cricket Club on 22 October – and Somerset West Cricket Club host Green Point Cricket Club.
