Durban’s Super Giants have signed West Indies all-rounder Sunil Narine for the fourth edition of the SA20.
DSG have also signed England wicketkeeper-batsman Jos Buttler and Afghanistan spinner Noor Ahmad – and retained South African Heinrich Klaasen. West Indies batsman Nicholas Pooran has moved from DSG to MI Cape Town.
“We are thrilled to continue our journey with Klaasen and Noor – both of whom have been phenomenal for DSG,” said Durban’s Super Giants head coach Lance Klusener.

“Jos and Sunil bring leadership, experience and match-winning ability that every team dreams of. We’re building a well-rounded squad that can adapt and dominate.”
Narine is among the most prolific all-rounders in the history of the Indian Premier League. He won the 2024 IPL title with the Kolkata Knight Riders.
“I’m really excited to start a new chapter with DSG later this year,” said Narine.
“It’s my first time playing in SA20 and I’m looking forward to the unique challenges it will present.”
Buttler added: “Playing in South Africa has always been special for me and I look forward to contributing to a team that is bold and ambitious.”
MI Cape Town are the reigning SA20 champions. The Sunrisers Eastern Cape are the most successful team in the history of the tournament with two titles.
