Players will again be allowed to represent one club during the Western Province Cricket Association season – and another in Western Province Veterans Cricket Association competition.

For example, this allows seamer Ryan Milne and all-rounder Robin van Harte to play for Milnerton Cricket Club in the WPCA premier league – and Victoria Cricket Club in the WPVCA league. There are several similar examples in the WPCA premier league and first division A.

“It is preferable that players representing a club have or do play for the club,” states an excerpt from the Western Province Veterans Cricket Association’s rules for the 2023-24 season.

“A player can only represent one team in the WPVCA for the season. However, they can participate in a different league, Western Province Cricket Association, if eligible.”
