Derbyshire batsman George Hargrave will join Durbanville Cricket Club for the second half of the 2022-23 Western Province Cricket Association season.
Whether Hargrave will start in Durbanville Cricket Club’s premier league or reserve division A XI remains in the balance.
Hargrave struck a record-breaking triple-century for Oxford University Cricket Club against Cambridge University Cricket Club earlier this year and, more recently, represented Derbyshire in the Second Eleven Championship.
Durbanville Cricket Club are the reigning WPCA premier league champions – and currently occupy first position in the 2022-23 premier league.
Western Province Cricket Club, Claremont Cricket Club, Green Point Cricket Club and Rondebosch Cricket Club currently occupy second, third, fourth and fifth place, respectively.
