Durbanville Cricket Club’s Manny Senger has been appointed Mauritus coach.
Senger has been head coach of Durbanville Cricket Club in the Western Province Cricket Association premier league for several years – and worked with the Bo-Kaap Phantoms in the Cape Premier League.
“Let us introduce to you coach Manny Senger – the new coach of the Mauritius national cricket team,” read a statement from the Mauritius Cricket Federation.
“He is an experienced, level three qualified coach, who is a knowledgeable and passionate coach with a proven track record of success.
“He is committed to helping the team reach their potential and inspiring our young players. With his guidance and leadership, we are sure the team will reach new heights of success.”
The Mauritius Cricket Federation is not an official member of the International Cricket Council. Unlike several other small countries, who are ICC members, Mauritius do not have T20I status.
