Durbanville Cricket Club ended the 2026 National Club Championship in second position last week.
Spinner Brad Petersen, who had not yet joined Durbanville Cricket Club ahead of 2019’s title-winning National Club Championship campaign, was in the 2026 squad.
Petersen has won the Western Province Cricket Association premier league title twice – and Cricket South Africa’s T20 Community Cup title once – with Durbanville Cricket Club.
He has played 100-plus first XI fixtures for Durbanville Cricket Club and is the reigning South African Forces Player of the Year.
“When I joined Durbanville Cricket Club my goal was to win the Western Province premier league and go to Cricket South Africa’s National Club Championship. I’m proud to say that I reached that goal,” Petersen wrote on social media.
Bedfordview Cricket Club won the 2026 National Club Championship title.
