Franchise leg-spinner Dyllan Matthews has rejoined Cape Town Cricket Club ahead of the 2020-21 Western Province Cricket Association premier league.
Matthews represented the Lions and, more recently, the Warriors in franchise cricket.
He was also with the Nelson Mandela Bay Giants squad for the 2019 Mzansi Super League.
Cape Town Cricket Club finished in third position in the 12-team 2019-20 WPCA premier league, behind Rondebosch Cricket Club and Durbanville Cricket Club. They won 15 matches – 11 with bonus points – in 21 attempts.
The start of the 2020-21 WPCA club cricket season has been delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. The 2019-20 season ended early for the same reason.
