Former ODI and T20I wicketkeeper-batsman Phil Mustard has been included in England Over-40’s squad for next month’s fixture against Marylebone Cricket Club.
Mustard played 10 ODIs and two T20Is for England from 2007 to 2008.
The England Over-40 squad also includes former first-class cricketers David Nash, Darren Stevens and Alex Morris.
Former Proteas fast bowler Andre Nel is England Over-40 assistant coach.
Two Over-40 World Cups in six months
This year’s Over-40 World Cup is being organised by the Pakistan Veterans Cricket Association. The tournament will be played in Pakistan from mid-September to early October 2023.
A second Over-40 World Cup is being organised by International Masters Cricket. It will be hosted in South Africa in March 2024.
