All-rounder Ernest Kemm has left Northern Cape ahead of the 2025-26 domestic season in South Africa.
Kemm was the fifth-highest run-scorer and second-highest wicket-taker in the 2024-25 4-Day Domestic Series, division two.
“I am very grateful for the opportunity at Northern Cape for the past six years. The team is very close to my heart. I grew a lot there and Northern Cape were my family. For the last six years, that’s what I knew,” Kemm told Club Cricket SA.
Northern Cape shared the 2024-25 4-Day Domestic Series, division two, title with the Tuskers.
“I loved competing for trophies with the Heat – I made a lot of great memories. I have also enjoyed growing my role with the ball and am happy to contribute with bat and ball – what the team needs, when they need it,” added Kemm.
Kemm has returned to Easterns. His first-class career started at Easterns in 2013.
“I am going back to Easterns – I am happy they have offered me the opportunity to move back. This is purely a family move – so no hard feelings with Northern Cape,” concluded Kemm.
Easterns have also signed seamer James Albanie from Limpopo.
