Faye Tunnicliffe nominates for WBBL draft

Batter Faye Tunnicliffe is among several South Africans nominated for this week’s Women’s Big Bash League draft in Australia.

Tunnicliffe played three ODIs and eight T20Is for Proteas Women from 2018 to 2021.

She has joined the draft alongside former Western Province batter Laura Wolvaardt, former Proteas Women batter Lizelle Lee and several other South Africans, including:

Anneke Bosche;
Annerie Dercksen;
Sinalo Jafta;
Marizanne Kapp;
Michaela Kirk;
Masbata Klaas;
Eliz-Mari Marx;
Sune Luus;
Nonkululeko Mlaba;
Robyn Searle; and
Jane Winster.

The Adelaide Strikers are the reigning WBBL champions. The Brisbane Heat, Sydney Sixers and Sydney Thunder are the most successful teams in the history of the tournament with two titles each.
