The Western Province Cricket Association have allocated penalty points to multiple first division B, C and D teams during the ongoing 2025-26 season.

The penalty points are reflected in this season’s WPCA first division B, C and D standings, which were updated this week.

The WPCA listed several reasons for the allocation of penalty points, including:

  • “failure to submit captain’s report;
  • “late submission of office bearers;
  • “did not attend roadshow; and
  • “late submission of annual general meeting documents.”

In the WPCA first division B, Avendale Cricket Club have collected six penalty points. Kuils River Cricket Club have been given four. Belhar Cricket Club and Varsity College Cricket Club have been given three each – and Yorkshire Cricket Club and Gugulethu Cricket Club two each. Bonteheuwel Cricket Club and Somerset West Cricket Club have been allocated one each.

In the WPCA first division C, Atlantis Cricket Club have collected four penalty points – and Kensington Cricket Club, Hanover Park Cricket Club and Vikings Cricket Club one each.

In the WPCA first division D, Seacrest Cricket Club have collected four penalty points. Khayelitsha Cricket Club have been given three. Bellville South Cricket Club and South Peninsula Cricket Club have been two each – and Mitchells Plain Cricket Club one.

Meanwhile, multiple WPCA premier league and first division A teams have also been allocated penalty points this season.
