  • 23 June, 5:05pm: We’re 10 minutes away from the scheduled start of the inaugural women’s CPL player auction. The players are gathering.

  • 23 June, 11:30am: Here is what each team have left to spend during the men’s auction. The tournament’s fictional currency is CPL dollars.

  • 23 June, 8:30am: It’s all happening TODAY. The women’s player auction will start at 5:30pm. The men’s player auction will start at 6:30pm.
  • 21 June, 5:30pm: Reigning champions Devil’s Peak Dragons have retained six players – and gained batsman Qaasim Salie. The Dragons will complete the 16-man squad at the auction.
  • 21 June, 11am: Club Cricket SA will provide coverage of each and every transaction during the 2023 women’s and men’s Cape Premier League player auction. The women’s player auction will start 5:15pm on Friday, 23 June 2023. The men’s player auction will follow at 6:30pm. Both will happen at Western Province Cricket Club in Cape Town.
