Former Proteas batsman Alviro Petersen struck a double-century in this week’s club fixture between Glenvista Cricket Club and Soweto Cricket Club in Bedfordview, Gauteng.
Petersen hit 208 not out from 77 balls in Glenvista Cricket Club’s final total of 289 for one in the allotted 20 overs.
His innings featured 28 fours and 10 sixes.
Soweto Cricket Club replied with 93 for eight to lose the Lions Veterans Cricket Association league fixture by 196 runs.
