Former Proteas wicketkeeper-batsman Mangaliso Mosehle has retired from professional cricket.
Mosehle, who was capped capped seven times in T20I cricket in 2017, played for the Titans, Lions and Dolphins before being joining the Knights. He had also played for the Cape Cobras on loan.
“This has probably been one of the hardest decisions I’ve had to make,” Mosehle wrote on social media.
“I am officially retired from professional cricket. It has been an amazing 15 years. When I first held a cricket bat, I never thought I would achieve what I did.
“Thank you to everyone who has supported me throughout my journey – administrators, coaches, fans, friends and family.
“A special mention to my family for all they have done for me and all the support. Thank you to Ray Jennings and Geoffrey Toyana for being amazing mentors.”
His last professional contract was with Easterns.
