All-rounder Colin Ackermann will leave Leicestershire for Durham in English county cricket.
Ackerman, who has played for Eastern Province and the Warriors in South African domestic cricket, has also been capped at international level by Netherlands.
“I’m absolutely delighted to be joining up with Durham from next season. I feel the time is right for a change and a new challenge,” said Ackerman, who has signed a three-year contract.
“There will be a few familiar faces in the changing room which is always nice, and I look forward to
creating some amazing memories on the field.”
Durham director of cricket Marcus North added: “Colin is a proven performer in county cricket and to have secured his signature among a lot of competition is great news for Durham.
“Recruiting an experienced batting all-rounder who can perform in all formats was a priority to our recruitment strategy.
“Colin comes with an outstanding playing record, leadership qualities and character that fits well with our Durham environment.”
