“To be given the platform to elevate my cricket and cricket in general in the US is something I am truly excited about, which with limited opportunities in SA, was not possible,” Dill told Club Cricket SA in May 2021.

“If we have the opportunity to be picked in Major League Cricket, that would be a great platform and experience for me personally.”

He played for the New Jersey Stallions in Minor League Cricket before moving to the St Louis Americans.

This week, he made a maiden appearance for Washington Freedom against MI New York in MLC.

Dill opened the bowling alongside Proteas seamer Marco Jansen – and took the wicket of Australian batsman Tim David in figures of one for 25 in four overs.
