Cape Town Cricket Club have appointed coaching consultant Geoff Dods for the 2025-26 Western Province Cricket Association premier league.
Dods will work alongside head coach William Hantam and captain Tristan Coetzee, who have been retained.
“Join us in welcoming the formal return of former first XI captain Geoff Dods,” read this week’s statement from Cape Town Cricket Club.
“Geoff has been appointed as a non-playing coaching consultant for the 2025-26 Western Province Cricket Association season.
“He will work with head coach William Hantam in managing the first XI – and the greater first XI/second XI squad. We look forward to William and Geoff working well together, combining their vast playing experience and coaching expertise.
“William had a solid first season in charge – and we are backing him to continue this growth alongside Geoff.”
Cape Town Cricket Club ended the 2024-25 WPCA premier league in seventh position, flanked by sixth-placed Ottoman Cricket Club and eighth-placed Claremont Cricket Club. CTCC won 11 and lost 11 matches.
