South Africa Under-19 have been pooled with KwaZulu-Natal Coastal (Dolphins), Easterns (Storm) and North West (Dragons). The pool fixtures will be played at the Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontein.
“We certainly don’t see ourselves as underdogs,” said South Africa Under-19 head coach Shukri Conrad.
“Although it’s an integral part of our preparation for the World Cup, we see this competition as one that we if we give a good account of ourselves and perform like we know we can.
“There’s no reason why we can’t be there in the quarter-final stages.
“It will also be good preparation from a mental side – how we cope with these sort of pressures that are similar to what the World Cup will bring.”
