Warriors sign uncapped Proteas seamer

Seamer Gideon Peters has joined the Warriors for the 2025-26 domestic season in South Africa.

Peters was with North West. Earlier this year, he was named in South Africa’s ODI squad, but has not yet debuted in international cricket.

Earlier this year, he played for the Pretoria Capitals in the SA20.

The Warriors have also gained seamer Kerwin Mungroo from North West, seamer Aphiwe Mnyanda from Border, batsman Modiri Litheko from Northern Cape and spinner Thomas Kaber from South Western Districts.

Head coach Robin Peterson and assistant coach Mark Charlton have been retained – and seamer CJ King’s contract has been upgraded.

Seamers Alfred Mothoa and Renaldo Meyer, all-rounder Beyers Swanepoel and batsman Diego Rosier have left the Warriors. Mothoa, Meyer and Swanepoel have joined North West, the Tuskers and Lions, respectively. Rosier has also joined North West.
