Proteas spinner Keshav Maharaj has been named in the Dubai Capitals’ squad for the 2025 edition of the Global Super League in the United Arab Emirates.
Maharaj is currently captaining South Africa during this week’s first Test against Zimbabwe in Bulawayo.
South African spinner Tabraiz Shamsi has been selected by the Rangpur Riders from Bangladesh for this year’s GSL.
The Guyana Amazon Warriors have South African leg-spinner Imran Tahir and all-rounder Dwaine Pretorius.
This will be the second edition of the Global Super League. The inaugural tournament was played in 2024, when the Rangpur Riders beat Victoria in the final.
The Dubai Capitals, Hobart Hurricanes from Australia and Central Stags from New Zealand have replaced Victoria, Lahore Qalandars from Pakistan and Hampshire from England for this year’s GSL.
