What Brackenfell Cricket Club head of cricket Francois Gantz said

“I am so happy that Godwill decided to join the club, not only for his cricket ability, but also for his leadership and his passion for the game,” added Gantz.

“After meeting him for the first time, I realised that he will play a massive roll at the club, not only on the field, but behind the scenes as well.”

Brackenfell Cricket Club have also signed former Warriors batsman and new Western Province recruit Eddie Moore.

“We are delighted that Eddie agreed to join us for the upcoming season,” said Gantz.

“Even though Eddie will be representing Western Province and not be available for most of the club games, his experience will be a massive positive for the club and the contracted squad.

“I am a firm believer that provincial cricketers should be involved in club cricket. It is not always what they bring to the game on the field, but the impact that the professionals have off the field.

“We need to bring the ‘old school’ culture back, where players have a drink together after games and talk cricket, especially with our younger players.”

Brackenfell Cricket Club compete in the WPCA premier league. They finished in ninth position in the 2021-22 WPCA premier league, after eight wins and 12 defeats.
