Green Point Cricket Club have appointed wicketkeeper-batsman Jean Marais captain for the 2022-23 Western Province Cricket Association premier league.
Marais joined Green Point Cricket Club from Durbanville Cricket Club in September 2021.
He has succeeded former Green Point Cricket Club captain Adam Scher.
Scher will continue to play for Green Point Cricket Club.
Scher captained Green Point Cricket Club to third position in the 2021-22 WPCA premier league.
Earlier this month, Green Point Cricket Club signed overseas professional Gareth Roderick for the 2022-23 season.
Roderick played first-class cricket for KwaZulu-Natal before relocating to the United Kingdom. He is currently contracted by Worcestershire – and previously represented Gloucestershire – in county competition.
