Green Point Cricket Club have named wicketkeeper-batsman Gareth Roderick captain ahead of the 2023-24 Western Province Cricket Association premier league.
Roderick captained Green Point Cricket Club for the bulk of the 2022-23 WPCA premier league – and will return later this year.
Capped at first-class level over 100 times and with 6,000-plus runs, he is currently playing for Worcestershire in the English County Championship.
Green Point Cricket Club recently signed seamer Keegan Crawford, who has relocated from KwaZulu-Natal to the Western Cape.
They have also appointed longstanding Pinelands Cricket Club member Steven Westraad head coach.
