Seamer Saul Anstey debuted for the Western Province Colts this week.
Anstey has been in superb form for Green Point Cricket Club in the 2021-22 Western Province Cricket Association premier league.
He has taken 40 wickets at an average of 10.60 in the WPCA premier league this season – and recently claimed match figures of seven for 16 against Western Province Cricket Club at the Wally Wilson Oval.

Anstey’s WP Colts debut
Anstey took two for 71 in 22 overs in the first innings of the Colts’ three-day fixture against the South Western Districts Colts at Newlands.
The WP Colts XI features other top performers from the WPCA premier league and first division A, including Pinelands Cricket Club’s Jordan Woolf, Western Province Cricket Club’s Siya Plaatjie and Green Point Cricket Club’s Zac Elkin.
Victoria Cricket Club pair Diego du Plessis and Phindile Tsolekile – and Rondebosch Cricket Club duo Jesse Christensen and Matthew Christensen – are also in the XI.
University of the Western Cape Cricket Club trio Yves Kamanzi, Bonga Makaka and Quinton Dreyer are in, too.
