Carlyle Roberts was named men’s Player of the Year at Hanover Park Cricket Club’s awards ceremony for the 2021-22 Western Province Cricket Association season recently.
Roberts also won the Players’ Player of the Year award.

What Hanover Park Cricket Club chairperson Ashraf Allie said
“Our youth in our squad, 20-year-old Carlyle Roberts, the vice-captain, won both the Players’ Player of the Year award and the main award of Player of the Year, which is named in honour of current sponsor Robert Zive’s dad. It is the Bernard Zive Player of the Year award,” said Allie.
“Other prominent awards on the night were handed out to Kevin Greentree, who took the most wickets – 52. Kevin, together with Muneeb Bailey, who won the Sedick Dawood Chairperson’s award, each prizes of weekends away.
“From the women’s side, Thaurah Dollie won the Women’s Players’ Player of the Year award. Tamia Amos was named Women’s Sportsperson of the Year and Bronwyn Abrahams Women’s Player of the Year. The administrator award, which is named after current office Bearer Fatima Domingo for her service to the game and community, went to Ruwayda Hanslo.”
