Hanover Park Cricket Club chairperson Ashraf Allie’s tenure will end next week.
Hanover Park will likely appoint Allie’s successor after the 2023-24 Western Province Cricket Association season.
“Ending my tenure as chairperson next month – December 2023. I will transition the role and
responsibilities over to the respective individual(s) until March or April 2024,” said Allie in a statement on social media.
“It was not an easy decision to make, and over time, I will list some or most of the reasons. This I will either do publicly or to those who care to listen. Today is not that day.
“The decision comes with mixed emotions. Collectively, we have achieved so much as a club, including the amazing assistance and support from so many on this app and whoever we engaged privately.
“It would not be proper to single out any one person or organisation; you/they know who they are. I will remain a member of the club. We have a good story to tell. I pray and hope the support will continue. Thank you, thank you, thank you, much love.”
