Helderberg Cricket Club have appointed head coach Craig Petterson for the 2025-26 Western Province Cricket Association first division C.
Helderberg Cricket Club have been promoted to the WPCA first division C after ending the 2024-25 first division D in second position. They have retained captain Chalynn Hess.
“Craig was instrumental in the success of the club’s previous season by igniting belief and creating a winning culture behind the scenes and therefore is being entrusted with this head coach role,” read a statement from the club.
“Chalynn’s leadership on and off the field played a huge role in the success of gaining promotion,” read a statement from the club.
“His fighting spirit and motivational personality earned him this role and we are looking forward to have him at helm again.”
Elsewhere in the WPCA first division C, Bergvliet Cricket Club have appointed assistant coach Reece Segers.
Segers previously played for Strandfontein Cricket Club before moving to Cape Town Cricket Club for the 2024-25 WPCA season.
He will work alongside head coach Shane Lewis at Bergvliet Cricket Club.
Bergvliet Cricket Club ended the 2024-25 WPCA first division C in third position.
