Hermanus Cricket Club have appointed Johan Clarke chairman ahead of the 2022-23 Cricket Boland season.
Clarke has succeeded former chairman Edmund Abels.
Hermanus Cricket Club have also introduced a player representative position to the committee.

“We are proud to announce that we are officially under new management with a new chairman and committee position created to embrace inclusivity and player wellbeing,” read a statement from Hermanus Cricket Club.
“Our new chair, Johan Clarke, got the ball rolling by identifying and addressing issues regarding communication between structures.
“A fruitful number of meetings lead to an increase in membership with a player-centred subscription fee structure and incentives that promotes the game in the Overberg for all.
“With a pool of skillful youngsters and worldly veterans, Hermanus CC look set to get back to where it needs to be.
“Similarly, Mr Clarke’s new team of vice-chairman Jan-Hendrik Koegelenberg, secretary and treasurer Dieter Lauff, consulting member Phillip van Wyngaardt and player representative Herman de Klerk look forward to the problem-solving decades of experience – combined with fresh insights – will bring.
“To date, we’ve made plans to dismantle tired systems and upgrade the institution with an emphasis on our club culture, adding to our rich cricketing history in the process.”
