Hottentots Holland Cricket Club have retained captain Waleed Smith and player-coach Abdul-aziz Temoor for the 2023-24 Western Province Cricket Association first division A.
Hottentots Holland Cricket Club have been promoted to the WPCA first division A after ending the 2022-23 first division B in second position. They won 12 and lost six matches.
“This will be our first time ever in the WPCA first division A. We are not here to only survive, we are here to compete in this division,” said Smith.
Temoor will likely miss some of Hottentots Holland Cricket Club’s maiden WPCA first division A campaign to be with the South Africa Over-40 squad at the Africa Cup.
Temoor played for Boland Over-40 during early May 2023’s inter-provincial tournament in Johannesburg.
