Head coach Igsaan Hugo has returned for Hanover Park Cricket Club’s 2023-24 Western Province Cricket Association first division C campaign.
Hugo was appointed head coach in 2020, but later exited the role. He has since returned to succeed former Hanover Park Cricket Club head coach Reyhaad Abrahams, who has been appointed director of coaches.
Hanover Park Cricket Club have also appointed women’s head coach Sedicka Bardien. She has succeeded former women’s head coach Niezaam Adams, who has been named batting consultant.
“We will continue to work with our other leadership members in the various subcommittee categories and welcome new head coach of the flagship and senior teams,” said Hanover Park Cricket Club chairperson Ashraf Allie.
Hanover Park Cricket Club captains
Hanover Park Cricket Club have retained first XI captain Shafwaan Doutie after ending the 2022-23 WPCA first division C in fourth position, with 10 wins, seven losses and one no-result.
“We have also appointed our captains and vice-captains for the season. Shafwaan Doutie retains the captaincy of the flagship team, with Kevalin Govender vice-captain,” added Allie.
“Raven Seals and Kevin Greentree will be the second team captain and vice-captain, respectively.
“Shaheen Pandie and Rashied Scello will be the third team captain and vice-captain, respectively. Gino Bloys and Akeem Hefka will be the fourth team captain and vice-captain, respectively.
“Candey Nelson and Tamia Amos are the women’s team captain and vice-captain, respectively. Feroz Shaik will be the captain of our team in the Western Province Veterans Cricket Association league.”
