Dikgale’s 232 not a first-class double ton
Former Western Province and Cape Cobras wicketkeeper-batsman Isaac Dikgale struck 232 not out in Northern Cape’s final first-class fixture of the season, which ended in a draw with Mpumalanga.
He faced 359 deliveries – and struck 15 fours and five sixes. This is not a first-class double-century. Northern Cape’s fixture against Mpumalanga was not deemed a first-class fixture.
No promotion for Northern Cape
The 2021-22 title won’t see Northern Cape promoted to the 2022-23 division one.
Cricket South Africa have stated promotion from division two and relegation from division one will only be introduced at the end of the 2023-24 season.
