All-rounder Jaco Castle has joined Brackenfell Cricket Club for the 2024-25 Western Province Cricket Association premier league.
Castle was previously with Durbanville Cricket Club for over a decade.

“Because I have decided to move on to a different cricket club after 15 years of playing cricket for Durbanville Cricket Club. The people at the AGM were not happy with my decision to leave the club.
“I would just would like to say thanks for Durbanville Cricket Club for everything they have done and offered me for the past 15 years of playing cricket at the club.
“And, yes, I have decided to play cricket at Brackenfell Cricket Club. Thanks to Brackenfell Cricket Club for having me.”
Castle represented South Africa at the Over-40 World Cup earlier this year.
Brackenfell Cricket Club have been promoted to the WPCA premier league again after winning the 2023-24 first division A title.
