South Western Districts have confirmed the exits of batsmen Jean du Plessis, Blayde Capell and Jhedli van Briesies ahead of the 2024-25 domestic season in South Africa.

Du Plessis, Capell and van Briesies have left SWD in division two for the Warriors, Boland and Titans, respectively, in division one.

“We are obviously disappointed by their departures, but their rewards for higher honours are well deserved and exposure on a higher level will come along with new challenges and opportunities,” said SWD chief executive officer Albertus Kennedy.

“They were all great players and ambassadors for the Garden Route Badgers and we wish them all the best for their future endeavours.”

SWD, meanwhile, have signed fast bowler Lifa Ntanzi and batsmen Yaseen Valli, George van Heerden and Luke Beaufort. Ntanzi was with the Dolphins, while Valli has joined from the Tuskers. Van Heerden and Beaufort have joined from the Warriors and Knights, respectively.
