Western Province have signed batsman Jiveshan Pillay ahead of the 2025-26 domestic season in South Africa.
Pillay has left the Warriors for a two-year contract with Western Province.
He played four matches in the 2024-25 4-Day Domestic Series, division one. Pillay played in the T20 Challenge, but not the One-Day Cup, division one.
Western Province have also signed batsman Joshua van Heerden from the Titans.
The Titans selected van Heerden for six matches in the 2024-25 4-Day Domestic Series, division one. He did not play in the One-Day Cup, division one, or T20 Challenge.
“I had a conversation with the Titans during the contract window. They offered me another contract, but they said my game time would look similar to what it looked like this recent season,” van Heerden told Club Cricket SA.
“Western Province then also came to me and the game time just looked much better. So, yes, I’m moving from the Titans to WP in search of more game time.
“I am excited to get to Western Province and hopefully add value toward winning more trophies. To play at Newlands, the best stadium in the world, is going to be super special.”
Seamers Wesley Bedja and Onke Nyaku have left Western Province for the Warriors and North West, respectively.
