Seamer Jody Lawrence reached a milestone for Durbanville Cricket Club recently.
Last week’s Western Province Cricket Association premier league fixture against Rondebosch Cricket Club was Lawrence’s 100th first XI cap for Durbanville Cricket Club.
“This is a very prestigious achievement and we are very proud of you and your great team spirit. Congratulations on your 100th DCC first XI cap,” read a statement from Durbanville Cricket Club.
Lawrence joined Durbanville Cricket Club from Avendale Cricket Club in 2019.
Late last year, he made a first-class debut for Western Province in division one of the 4-Day Domestic Series.
Last month, spinner Brad Petersen also reached 100 first XI caps for Durbanville Cricket Club.
Petersen and Lawrence have won multiple titles with Durbanville Cricket Club, including this year’s T20 Community Cup.
Durbanville Cricket Club currently occupy second position on the 2024-25 WPCA premier league points table. They will host seventh-placed Claremont Cricket Club on Saturday.
