India Legends beat South Africa Legends by 61 runs in Saturday’s Road Safety World Series fixture in Kanpur.
India Legends posted a final total of 217 for four in the allotted 20 overs. Captain Sachin Tendulkar hit 16 and all-rounder Stuart Binny 82 not out.
South Africa Legends seamer Johan van der Wath completed figures of two for 28. Seamer Makhaya Ntini and spinner Eddie Leie took a wicket each.
South Africa’s reply reached 156 for nine. Captain Jonty Rhodes collected 38 not out. Openers Andrew Puttick and Morne van Wyk scored 23 and 26, respectively.
South Africa Legends will play New Zealand Legends at the same venue on Monday.
