All-rounder Josh Breed completed an second-innings eight-wicket haul for Western Province Colts against Eastern Province Colts at Western Province Cricket Club on Saturday, 15 February 2025.
Breed also took four wickets in the first innings for 12 in the match, as Western Province Colts won by 109 runs.
Western Province Cricket Association by-laws allowed Breed to play for Claremont Cricket Club on the same day. He took three wickets and hit a half-century, as Claremont Cricket Club beat Green Point Cricket Club by two wickets in the WPCA premier league.
Claremont Cricket Club currently occupy seventh position on this season’s WPCA premier league points table.
Cape Town Cricket Club, meanwhile, opted not to draft Western Province Colts batsman Josh Chippendale in to the XI for Saturday’s WPCA premier league fixture against Brackenfell Cricket Club. Cape Town Cricket Club won by one run after a century from captain Tristan Coetzee.
