All-rounders Josh Breed and Matt de Villiers will be available for Claremont Cricket Club’s 2023-24 Western Province Cricket Association premier league campaign.
De Villiers and Breed were attempting to play club cricket in New Zealand, but have since decided to stay with Claremont Cricket Club for this season’s WPCA premier league title defence.
Breed captained Claremont Cricket Club to the 2022-23 WPCA premier league title.
He was later succeeded by wicketkeeper-batsman Daniel Smith as captain.
This week, though, Breed was restored as captain and Smith moved to vice-captain.
Claremont Cricket Club, meanwhile, have confirmed the recruitment of Western Province batsman Valentine Kitime.
