Batsman Josh Chippendale has returned to Strandfontein Cricket Club in Cape Town.
Chippendale left the Western Cape for a stint with the Warriors in provincial cricket last year. He played for the Warriors in the One-Day Cup, but has since returned to Cape Town.
“It’s great to have Josh back with us. His time with the Warriors would have brought a lot of learning,” Strandfontein Cricket Club chairman Jamaine Cloete told Club Cricket SA.
“He will bring a lot of value to the team and will help our push to get back into the WPCA premier league.
“I know Josh is looking forward to his time at Strandfontein again and this should translate to good results on the field for him and the team.”
Cloete, too, confirmed the retention of Strandfontein Cricket Club head coach Kevin Heuvel.
Strandfontein Cricket Club ended the 2022-23 WPCA first division A in eighth position with nine wins, 11 losses and two no-results.
Chippendale, meanwhile, has moved from the District Sixers to the Peninsula Patriots for this year’s edition of the Cape Premier League, which will precede Strandfontein Cricket Club’s 2023-24 WPCA first division A campaign.
