Batsman Joffvre Duminy has joined Strandfontein Cricket Club ahead of the 2021-22 Western Province Cricket Association first division A.
Duminy previously represented Cape Town Cricket Club‘s first XI in the WPCA premier league – and second XI in the reserve division A.
Strandfontein Cricket Club have returned to the WPCA first division A after a disappointing 2019-20 premier league campaign.
They won five and lost 16 matches – and occupied 11th position in the 12-team standings when the season ended prematurely amid the coronavirus pandemic. The 2020-21 WPCA club cricket season was not contested at all for the same reason.
