Proteas seamer Sisanda Magala has moved to the Knights for the 2025-26 domestic season in South Africa.
Magala joined the Titans from the Lions for the 2024-25 season, but didn’t play a match.
“I’m very happy and excited to have Magala on board. His name speaks volumes for itself,” Knights head coach JP Triegaardt told OFM.
“He’ll bring tremendous experience and real impact to our bowling unit. One thing I can say about Magala is that he’s a match-winner.
“As a coach, that’s what you aim for – to develop and work with players who can win games. If you have match-winners in your side, you’ll find yourself in strong positions more often than not.
“But he’ll bring a lot to the team and we’re really, really excited for him and to have him aboard. We also wish him all the best.”
The 34-year-old Magala played eight T20Is and six ODIs for South Africa from 2021 to 2023. He has also played for the Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League.
“Sisanda is hungry to get back to his best. He is thankful for this time at the Titans, but is looking forward to this next chapter,” Magala’s agent Donovan Kretchemer told Club Cricket SA.
“He has joined the Knights on a one-year contract with the option to extend.”
The Knights have also signed former Northern Cape duo Ruan Haasbroek and Cole Abrahams, but lost all-rounder Dian Forrester and batsman Lesego Senokwane to North West and the Titans, respectively.
