Kent all-rounder joins Claremont Cricket Club

Claremont Cricket Club have secured the services of Kent all-rounder Adam Ball, who has gathered two dozen first-class appearances since debuting in 2011.

The former England Under-19 captain will “use the spell in South Africa for some warm-weather training and strength and conditioning work before the 2016 county season,” according to kentcricket.co.uk.

Based in Cape Town’s southern suburbs, Claremont Cricket Club’s first XI compete in the Western Province Cricket Association’s first division A – and will anticipate plenty of runs and wickets from the right-handed batsman and left-arm seamer.

Cape Town Cricket Club and Milnerton Cricket Club, meanwhile, successfully recruited Somerset’s Max Waller and Gloucestershire’s Adam Rouse earlier this season.
