The Knights have retained batsman Jacques Snyman for the 2023-24 domestic season in South Africa.

The Knights, who have been relegated to the second division, have lost several players. These include batsmen Pite van Biljon and Raynard van Tonder, seamers Alfred Mothoa and Mbulelo Budaza – and more.

Snyman, who was capped by South Africa in T20I cricket in 2021, has remained at the Knights.

“It’s lovely to be able to stay on at the Knights,” Snyman told OFM.

“It’s an honour to stay on at the union and I really like playing for and representing the Knights.

“I’m sure this will be a great season for the union.”

The Knights, meanwhile, have recruited duo Clayton Bosch and Tiaan van Vuuren. Bosch and van Vuuren have joined from Border and the Warriors, respectively.

“We’ve some a couple of new guys with some of them already having experienced playing at this level and a lot of them are exciting youngsters,” added Snyman.

“We are all looking forward to the season and our big objective is to get back into the first division.”
