Former KwaZulu-Natal Academy cricketer Brandon McMullen, who is uncapped at international level, has been included in Scotland’s squad for the 2022 T20 World Cup.
McMullen represented KwaZulu-Natal Academy as recently as 2019 prior to forging a career in Scotland.
Seamer Brad Wheal has also been named in the 15-man squad. Wheal, who is also from KwaZulu-Natal, has been capped 13 times in ODI cricket and 14 in T20Is since debuting for Scotland in 2016.
“The squad also features the uncapped Brandon McMullen who impressed at the regional series and A team matches with both bat and ball as a genuine all-rounder. He will provide the squad with an option to be versatile in any role,” read a statement from Cricket Scotland.
