Langa Cricket Club eager to ‘rebuild brand in club cricket culture and development’

Langa Cricket Club have expressed big ambition ahead of the 2020-21 Western Province Cricket Association club season.

The club’s executive committee has undergone significant change, with a new chairperson and deputy secretary appointed – and the secretary, match secretary and treasure retained.

“Langa Cricket Club have elected a vibrant executive committee for the 2020-21 season, with three members from the previous executive committee remaining to serve for another season. The current committee comprises current and former Langa Cricket Club players,” read a statement from the club.

“Langa Cricket Club will be progressively well managed and rebuild its brand to new heights in club cricket culture and development.

“With an eclectic combination of cricket skills and administrative skills, the 2020-2021 executive committee is tasked with the core duty to serve the players and the club’s development goals.”

Langa Cricket Club’s first XI competed in the WPCA top tier from 2000 to 2003 before exiting. They returned to the WPCA premier league in 2017.
