Seamer Dale Kleinhans has joined Rondebosch Cricket Club from Avendale Cricket Club, ahead of the 2019-20 Western Province Cricket Association premier league.

Rondebosch Cricket Club and Kleinhans confirmed the move to Club Cricket SA.

Kleinhans was the leading wicket-taker among seamers in the 2018-19 WPCA first division A. His 41 wickets were topped only by spinners Luke Stevens and Chester Alexander’s 44 each, Franco Kasner’s 49 and David Schierhout’s 51.

What Rondebosch Cricket Club said

“We are glad to have Dale join us. He knows how to take wickets – and comes with loads of experience. I can’t wait to see him test himself in the premier league. I’m pretty sure he is going to be a great success,” Rondebosch Cricket Club player-coach Sean Hendrieck told Club Cricket SA.

Kleinhans joins Bedja at Rondebosch Cricket Club

Last month, seamer Wesley Bedja confirmed a move from Western Province Cricket Club to Rondebosch Cricket Club. Bedja has also played for Strandfontein Cricket Club.

“I’m extremely grateful for all the opportunities I’ve been given by WPCC, but I just feel that my time there has ended. I am keen to see what I can do at Rondebosch Cricket Club. I am excited to see what this coming season has to offer,” said Bedja.

“I know that I am parting ways with WPCC on good terms. I feel at this point in my career it’s time for a change – and now is the time for that change. I’m always looking for opportunities to learn and improve my game – and I see this as another opportunity to do so.”
