Brackenfell Cricket Club have retained captain Lee-Roy Walters for the 2023-24 Western Province Cricket Association first division A.
Brackenfell Cricket Club ended the 2022-23 WPCA in second-last position – and have since been relegated to the first division A.
“We are delighted to announce that Lee-Roy Walters will once again captain Brackenfell CC’s first XI. Lee-Roy brings a wealth of experience as both a player and a captain, and we are thankful he has agreed to lead the team again this year,” read a statement from the club.
“This season holds particular significance for BCC, and to have someone of Lee-Roy’s calibre at the helm instils extra confidence as we head into the season.”
Batsman Rushdi Jappie, meanwhile, has returned to Brackenfell Cricket Club from Rylands Cricket Club.
