Victoria Cricket Club have signed Northamptonshire left-arm wrist spinner Freddie Heldreich for the 2024-25 Western Province Cricket Association first division A.
Heldreich played in England’s T20 Blast and One-Day Cup in August and September 2024. He has been capped 11 times at List A level – and 44 times in T20 cricket.
“We’re absolutely thrilled to have Freddie join us as our overseas professsional. Freddie is an exciting talent and his experience at a high level will be invaluable to our squad,” said Victoria Cricket Club head coach Saadiek Davids.
“His left-arm spin adds a new dimension to our bowling attack and we can’t wait to see him in action. The entire club has been working hard and we’re all looking forward to the season ahead.”
Victoria Cricket Club have also signed all-rounder Juan Collison and batsman Fahan Khan, who have joined from Avendale Cricket Club and Rylands Cricket Club, respectively.
“We are very excited to have Fahad and Juan with us. Fahad is a naturally aggressive top-order batsman who fits perfectly with our plans for the season. He’s looking sharp in the nets and I’m confident he’ll deliver some crucial innings for us,” added Davids.
“Juan is the ideal all-rounder, bringing balance to the team with his versatility. We’re counting on his skills a lot this season and I know he’s up for the challenge.”
Victoria Cricket Club have been promoted to the WPCA first division A after winning the 2023-24 first division B title.
